West of Next is a new band from Sacramento playing compositions by the leader inspired by the great American regional genres. Western swing, blues, zydeco, honky tonk, spooky Appalachian ballads, waltzes, mambos, surf music, Celtic strains, and the like are all presented in arrangements from a jazz musician’s point of view featuring the twin-guitar tradition of Bob Wills, Speedy West and Jimmy Bryant, and the Allman Brothers (with a new slant).

They are not there just to show off their clever and engaging original lyrics, but to entertain as well. Peg's got the blue shoes and the dapper dude, dressed right out of a turn-of-the-century barrel house, provide sartorial significance to a real good time.

This event is limited to 48 people. Music by and dancing after dinner, and the drawing for the special raffles.
